Hoi An (6 nights)
Hoi An is a Unesco World Heritage listed town where time seems to have stood still. Our aim is to see and experience the beauty of Hoi An. This includes:
- ‘A half day tour on the back of a motorcycle. That’s right, we are going to travel just like the locals. You’ll see and explore the highlights of Hoi An, as well as the nearby countryside, including rice paddies and lotus flowers
- You’ll satisfy your taste buds with lots of lovely meals in stunning restaurants overlooking the river
- We have lined up a fabulous tailor where garments can be made especially for you within 48 hours
- One morning we participate in a lantern making class with the Lantern Lady, a fun activity where you will learn age old techniques to create your very own lantern to bring home
- You’ll visit a local cooking school and learn how to cook authentic Vietnamese food. It’s fun, and you get to eat everything you make. Getting there is all part of the experience with a boat ride to the open air restaurant and cooking school
- We have a meal at our guide’s house in Hoi An. They love to host us with mountains of food and we find out about their lives and rich culture
- Visit a local childrens charity where we learn about how this special place is changing the lives of disadvantaged children through the incredible work of dedicated teachers and volunteers
- Walking tour of the old town, with guided stops at places of interest as you learn more about the history of this special place
- Optional early morning photography lesson, learn how to take amazing photos with your phone at an early morning fish market
Want to take it easy? Simply take a wander through the old town, at your own pace.
Stop and enjoy the local markets. There’s always time for spa treatments, more shopping and simply lounging by the pool. It’s your holiday – go at your own pace. Want to sit back and enjoy the beautiful boutique resort that you are staying in, please do. Oh and did we mention massages – we get these most days, simply irresistible! With us, we are not about the rush and hassle. We try to blend a lot of great local activities with time to simply rest, relax and enjoy!
You won’t want to leave here however, our next destination is the exotic city of Ho Chi Minh City, a short flight away.
Ho Chi Minh City (3 nights)
Previously known as Saigon, this city is an incredible mix of old and new, millions of motorcycles and fascinating people. Activities include:
- An amazing half day tour to the world famous Cu Chi Tunnels along the Saigon River. You will see how the Viet Cong outwitted their enemies and survived on limited resources during the Vietnamese War. Just getting there is an experience.
- We go by luxury speedboat up the Saigon River (approx. 1 hour each way). Today is not all just about the history; the food here is divine. We take time out to enjoy a beautiful Vietnamese lunch, and watch life go by on a busy working river
- Experience Saigon by night on the back of a tuktuk! There’s a street food tour with stops at local restaurants and street stalls, finished off with some karaoke on the why back to the hotel. It’s exotic and fun in hot and steamy Saigon
- Of course shopping is on everyone’s agenda and all good visits to Saigon must include malls and markets where you can shop till you drop for goods of every description
- Optional visit to the War Remnants museum for a glimpse into “The American War’ as it’s known in HCMC
- Last day of the tour – ends after breakfast, with transfers to the airport

Flights to Vietnam are to be booked and arranged by yourself. We work with a preferred travel agent at House of Travel OR
We will provide all the key flight & date requirements for you to take to your selected travel agent. This allows each person to tailor their flight requirements, as many like to arrive or stay on later, after the actual 10 day Vietnam holiday
Flight requirement details will be provided to you, including information regarding arrival date, 1 internal return flight (Ho Chi Minh to Danang), and departure/end of tour date
